Storm with heavy rain in Berlin, October 06.2012/ Sturm mit Starkregen in Berlin am 8. Oktober 2012
In the afternoon of October 06 it was unusually warm in Berlin. Between 3pm and 4pm dark clouds build up in the North-West. Very suddenly heavy rain with strong winds came down in Berlin . The gales were so strong that trees fell upon the tracks of the S-Bahn between Berlin Zoo and Friedrichstraße. The train returned to the Tiergarten station and passengers walked by foot. For two hours the S-Bahn was out of service.
Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and
it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
